Engineering Communication Guidelines

Objective:

This document outlines the communication guidelines for the departments that want to communicate with the engineering teams regarding any type of requirements.

Audience:

This document is focused mainly towards people who have not worked with engineering and new joiners.

Categorise The Requirement:

The requirements are categorized into two types:

  1. Hardware/System Issues

  2. Technical Requirements

  3. Product Requirements

Follow the below chart to figure out the POCs for any requirement.

Hardware Requirements

  • Any requirement that seems to be related to the below characteristics is a hardware/system requirement.
    • Malfunctioning of IT System.
    • Malfunctioning of IT Software.

Technical Requirements

  • Any requirement that seems to be related to the below characteristics is a technical requirement.

    • Malfunctioning in the BookMyShow software

    • Wrong Implementation in BookMyShow software

Product Requirements

  • Any requirement that is related to the below qualities is a product requirement.

    • Change in functionality

    • Addition of functionality

Persons of Concern (POCs) for each type of requirement:

Technical Requirement

  • For technical requirements, you should approach the TPM assigned to the POD. In the non-availability of the TPM, please approach the EM of the POD.

Product Requirement:

  • For product requirements, you should approach the PM assigned to the POD.

  • To check the PM of a POD, click here.
